Even though I walk
through the darkest valley
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. Psalm 23: 4

Jesus, I have just about a week before The Event. It seems a thousand things could come crushing down on me, a blizzard of eddying snow flakes blow around, torrents of rain blur my vision and redirect my steps.
But you are here.
Solid.
Immovable.
Stepping at your pace and in your direction.
Hold my hand. Take my back.
I’ll lean toward you. Walk with my shoulder touching your strong frame.
Peacefully. Purposefully.
Aware of the tumult.
Turning my head up and back to ask where we’re going, blocked from the wind by your body.
Show me the important things to do, help me do them in confidence and peace.
No flailing
No rushing
No worrying
Only trust, doing my light part, enlisting others in this grand adventure
