First Moments in Heaven: Body
Soul, when you first wake in Heaven, I think you’ll notice every detail of your new body: your new particulars, the unique slopes and bends and hues and senses that point briefly back to that brittle awareness you had of your previous body and its characteristics. Then your old trigger will start to spring: “Everyone’s looking at me. Everyone’s deciding how I don’t fit in or match up. I’m in the spotlight of whatever place this is, naked, uncertain, anchored to every imagined eye targeting my imperfections.”
But your internal reaction will lose steam before it forms fully, daunted by the New Reality, the Really Real.
Yes, you are different from everyone else.
Yes, you are naked – at least for now.
But that is where The Old stops dead.
Here… there is no comparing, no jockeying for status, no demeaning for climbing, no slight intimations to accentuate supposed undesirabilities, inferiorities, not quitenesses.
Here there is only boundless variation dancing with limitless uniformity, anchored in the infinite love and safety of God.
Curiosity, excitement, surprise, laughter, affirmation, cocreation…continuous marveling in hermetically sealed security.
No one doubts themselves because no one doubts their Abba.
